swim nights

ahhh, summer time.  even with the heat and dripping sweat of an arizona summer, i am absolutely loving our care free, picnic dinner nights spent poolside for swim meets.  watching landon and lily cheer the boys on is adorable.

r-c

for fathers day weekend, luke and daddy were whisked away to r-c cub scout camp for a few days.  they had some much needed bonding time and loads of fun...

luke is transitioning back to being home and is already planning his trip for next year.

my now six...

the sweetest boy ever turned 6 years old on fathers day.

adore him, love him, cant get enough of him.

when creating the invite list for his party he included his grandma meyer and grandma bolt. then he told me that they were invited to come but could not play basketball because they would get hurt.  sweetie, thinking of their wellbeing.

butterfly wonderland

fun times at the new butterfly museum.  their favorite part... butterfly taking a rest on daddy's bum bum.   

logan seemed to enjoy it the most, taking pictures with my phone. he also loved searching for the queen bee in the bee hive and the ant farm.

good bye port

her port is out and look who is oh so happy.  funny the way she and i had grown attached to that port.  it was nerve racking to think about taking it out.  like saying goodbye to a dear old friend.  it has been with us from the start, to see it go was surprisingly emotional.

i know, i know, it was just a medical device on the right side of her chest.  but she would show it to me, we would talk about it.

this morning i found her (as i often do) looking through a box of pictures.  she loves to go through those boxes and ask about the people she does not know.  the picture she carried around with her today is one of my grandfather and grandmother with luke when he was a wee one.  love it.
