summer camp

he was so excited to finally get the chance to go to school, he was up half the night.  which made for a very long first day.

he cried when he realized i was going to leave.  logan was there to comfort him. logan even stopped playing and left the water area to help landon get his towel and sit down for a break.  {melt}.

he is my pint sized one.  little peanut in size, but as loud as they come.  hardly reaching the petals on his bike, he still managed to keep up with the big kids that were twice his size.

i was told he cried off and on all morning, but when he woke from his afternoon nap he asked if he could go back.  good sign, right?  the first day is always the roughest.  i am glad he had his big brother by his side.

museum

the children's museum. now to be honest, i have a love hate relationship with this place.  so many kids, running in every direction.  mine included, its a challenge to keep track.  i am in constant fear of losing one of them.  they have a blast and i am simply exhausted by the end of the day.

this visit was a tad bit different.  luke is old enough where i can trust him to venture into an area by himself.  as long as he tells me where he is going, he knows not to leave that area, i do feel he is safe.  there is plenty of staff keeping an eye on things.  so, it was actually our most enjoyable visit.  logan could sit and do his art for hours while luke played with balls and cars and i played with the other two somewhere in between.

bear with me as i share my blurry, not so great, pictures from my phone.  hauling the 4 littles, lunches, water, and everything else necessary for a day out, leaves no space for my camera.

science center

luke and logan finished school about a week before the other schools in the area.  so i figured it was a good time to visit the science center.  thinking we were avoiding the crowds, we headed downtown.  they have a great new exhibit...balls AND water, what could be more fun?

we only made it to the first floor.  much more left to explore...

however, there were 36 buses.  yes, 36 filled to the brim with school kiddos.  they just kept coming in.  apparently it was field trip day for everyone still in school.

logan, my little builder.  he made sure i got a picture of this.

i had to pull luke away from his home design.  once again a picture was the only way he would leave.

seven

happy birthday to my dear, dear luke.
born at 6am on the 22nd.  it really has been a growing year for him in so many ways.

we celebrated with a day full of swimming with friends.  his favorite dinner, fish with pesto and lemon sauce (yes, really).  special cake and ice cream.  a few gifts.  his 'big' present is scheduled to arrive by mail on the 24th... he can't wait.

baseball

it was a fun season.

luke could have done baseball, he did not like the 't' all that much, but it was great having them on the same team.

the coach told me that if he could give an award for most improved it would be logan.

every time we went to practice landon would run upstairs to put on his cubs uniform. so cute, he can't wait to play just like his brothers.
