treasured moments

a few treasured moments...

landon has moved into his 'big boy' bed.  he can't wait for bedtime, the minute its dark he lets me know and hops right in.  tonight he decided he was ready half way through story time.  lets hope this lasts.

luke and logan have a new love for baseball. they have only had two practices, but its so cute to watch both of them on a team together, along with our neighbor friend.

logan telling me that he needs it to be peaceful at night so he can sleep.  my little yoga boy, peaceful.  he is also thrilled that lily's new room is right across the hall from him.  he is even more thrilled that i am leaving a bed in the room so he can check on her and sleep in there with her.  she is never far from his heart and mind.

luke losing another tooth. this time he told me about it, then posed the question "does the tooth fairy turn my tooth into money, or does she take the tooth with her?" hhmmm....

my two year old's newest word.  awesome.  everything is awesome.

luke writing the sentence 'justin beaver is loved'.  yes, beaver, not bieber.  then he started talking about michael jackson.

lily is on her chemo 'break'.  for the next few weeks she only gets one of her chemo medications.  the best thing about this particular medication is that although it has a long list of side effects, nausea is not one of them. so, no nausea for 3 more weeks.  i am so happy for her.  oh and she is now 20 lbs.  growing way to quickly for my likes.

gifted

a beautiful gift from a friend to give me strength when lily and i go for her treatments.  simple and sweet, it means so much.  i treasure it.  as does lily.  someday it will fit upon her wrist.

weekending

we spent ours at the zoo. perfect weather, the animals were actually out.  those of you who live in arizona know how the animals tend to hide themselves when the weather heats up.

today my little ones decided to have a 'sale' in our drive way.  i suggested lemonade, but they came up with the idea of selling beads.  $100 for each little one or $1000 for the larger... there were passersby, but no sales.  luke ran inside with the sign and changed the price.  better luck tomorrow.  i think they have decide to give a bead with each lemonade they sell... and they informed me that we will be setting up at the neighborhood park.

wish me luck... no school, park, 4 kids, lemonade/ bead stand... and don't forget the bikes, balls, drinks, snacks, and other park gear.  its a short walk, but i think we will drive.  it looks like we live in the minivan, we park and more and more of us keep getting out with more and more stuff.  and then, of course, we never have the one thing they all seem to need.  like i said, wish me luck! happy presidents day.

me and the boy

afternoon chocolates, hide and seek, then nap time.  although he insisted he was not tired, his eyes told another story.

tooth fairies and valentines

this little one was so caught up in all the festivities of valentines, he forgot to mention losing his tooth at school.  it came home in a little blue box, which he placed right under his pillow.  no need to tell my mom, surely the tooth fairy will know what to do.  good thing this mama noticed the change in his grin.

after all the class festivities, it was on to our own little party.  at home.  just us. the best kind.

a visit from safari jane

all the other little boys in his preschool class could not wait to get their hands on the spiders and other creepy crawly animals, but this special little one patiently waited for his turn to hold the bunny.  i love watching him interact with his classmates.  and him holding that bunny, the look on his face, precious...
