landon

my baby turned 2 years old this past weekend!! its so hard to believe.  he woke up on saturday morning and said 'lets go to the park, happy birthday landon'. he was so ready to go out and celebrate his birthday.  we did not do anything formal, just met a few friends at the park for some donuts on saturday and then pizza, pool, and cake at papa and nana's for sunday.  the boys had a blast and it was fun to see him have his own day.  although he did let his brothers open the majority of his gifts:-).

fountian hills morning

we did not do much over spring break.  everyone just getting over ear infections and me to pregnant to travel. but i think the boys still had a good time at the parks and just relaxing at home.  luke even told me that he loved being home with me and his brothers.  they are on the go so much when they start kindergarden.  everyday we are out the door by 8:30 and he is not back home until 4, later if we have swim lessons, etc.
so on friday before my work baby shower, we headed to the pediatrician to check all 6 ears.... everyone was in the clear and headed for a morning at the fountain hills park. they had a blast!

little chef's

luke has been out on spring break this week, so it has been eventful to say the least.  mama 38 weeks pregnant running around with 3 little boys, has been a bit exhausting.  but we are all having a good time!  the weather has been great, so we have been to the park a few times to meet friends.  i even got out and kicked a soccer ball around with them!  the things you can do when you are pregnant with number 4.

today we went to piano, then acupuncture, and of course to trader joes!  what an experience.  i had luke and logan pushing their own carts with landon screaming from his strapped in seat in mine.  oh, the looks i had.  only one bathroom stop during the shopping and we left the store with everyone happy.  landon fell asleep on the way home, and the other two decided that we would be making pizzas for dinner.  it was a mess, but such a good time!!

love my boys, love em, love em, love em!!!! tonight my mom and erica stopped by for a visit after their relaxing time in sedona and jerome.  what a sight it must have been for them to come over to my loud house full of flour and pizza eating boys!

no cheese on this pizza

smiley face, but no sauce....

37 weeks and counting

life has thrown me for a whirlwind this time!  its been too busy for me to keep up and i am feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.  andrew is forever out of town, here for two nights a week, so married to his job for the most part.  all of my boys have been wild and have ear infections.  then i can hardly move and have to go in for check  ups every week.  who has the time?
okay, i am done with my poor me complaining!  all in all i am feeling good, not even ready for baby girl to be here yet.  its too busy!!! at 37 weeks, i have gained 22 lbs, by the end of the day my legs feel swollen, and i am tired.  last night i was up for a few hours contracting, decided to pack my bags while i was up. then when i finally was comfortable and able to sleep, landon woke up and i consoled him for awhile.  i am now 2cm and 90%.  which really does not mean much, i can walk around at 3cm for weeks!  hope to feel better and more positive tomorrow.

hiding places and girlie shoes

looking around for landon and where do i find him... let me just say, that at least it was not on.  everyone has been perplexed by all the girlie things in the house.  logan found the 'funny' shoe first, then landon decided to try it on.

luke just keeps asking if my belly hurts.  they have been keeping me busy, but everyone slept last night.

logan is slowly but surely turning back into himself.  i still cant believe it was an ear infection, he has been acting out for 3 weeks, poor kid, and i thought it was a phase.  he was demanding and difficult, but never mentioned his ears or tugged on them, or even told me that he did not feel good.  how was i to know?

tomorrow, luke has a student led parent teacher conference. he even put together a portfolio, we will see how this goes.  its cute, but sounds a bit complex for a kindergartner.  i think i like the other style better... meet with the teacher and discuss your child.  we will see how this new conference style goes.

grandma meyer is in the hospital, doing well after having her pacemaker put in this afternoon.  i was able to go in and see her when i was at work on sunday after she was admitted into the icu from the er from a heart rate of 30!  good thing she made it to the hospital.  anyway, i am so glad she is here and has us to help her, it would be hard if she were in chicago since no one is near.  her birthday is on friday, march 18.  hopefully she will be back home and we can do something to celebrate over the weekend.  maybe baby girl will decide to be born on her birthday!  now that would be exciting!  i must say, when i did see her in the hospital and she had me make a list of things she needed from home... tooth brush, reading glasses, lip stick, and (most importantly) eye brow liner :-).

daddy's first poison pen letter

i am so proud of my little lukey.  he is learning how to voice his feelings so well and put them on paper!  this weekend after getting in trouble with daddy, he went to his room and wrote him a letter, then walked down the stairs gave him the letter, told him he was mad, and asked if he could go outside to kick around his soccer ball!
after working on both friday and sunday, being extremely busy and 36 weeks pregnant, my two younger boys decided to get up for about an hour each during the night at different times!  omg, i have been exhausted all day.  logan crawled into bed and was restless for about an hour.  then around 2:30 landon decided to get up and cry off and on until i was finally able to slide him into the crib in our bedroom at 4am.  i took them both to the pediatrician today and logan has a raging ear infection in both ears!  maybe that his why he has been so out of sorts for the past few weeks.  landon has a bad cold, but at least no one has bronchitis or anything to serious.  the highlight of any doctor visit (other then mine!) logan weights 33 lbs and landon 21.5.

growing pains

logan and i have been so out of sync lately.  for the past two weeks he has been demanding my attention, wanting to control situations, and throwing tantrums.  not his regular self, i have been trying to give him one on one.  giving him more choices and allowing him more space and time to try new things and nothing is working.  it is so hard because he has never been like this, and ends up in his room at least once a day.  i end up carrying him kicking and screaming, because there is no other way.  he is kicking, hitting, biting, you name it, he is doing it.
last night he crawled into my bed and asked if i could kiss his foot because it was growing and hurt.  he was very restless, crying out in his sleep, then in the morning he told me that his feet and legs hurt because they were growing.  he seems tired and maybe all of this is his hormones and him growing.  i have heard of growing pains, but what can i do to help my little boy?  i think this is a phase, hope he is not miserable for too long:-(

tea time and showers

its so infrequent that we all get together and actually get to talk to one another, with no interruptions.  what started as an afternoon baby shower tea went way into the dark hours.  our husbands cooked dinner together with the kids and had their own party, however, i am sure that ours was much more fun!  thank you so much to shauna, the best hostess EVER, you rock.  i still remember the first time we met.  i was walking luke around the block and you were walking with abby to the mailbox, they were both about a year old.  since then we have been through so many great times.  and here we are, years later, and i am on number 4.  the shower was beautiful, i could not have asked for more!  great friends, champagne, sparkling lemonade, roses, yummy dishes, such good times.  this is one memory i will always cherish.  and better yet, i will have a little girl to pass it on to....

babies

landon jacob

luke holden

logan andrew
getting ready to go to my baby shower... the last one ever.  it brought me back to thinking about each one of my blessings.  its hard to believe how grown up they are already.  the look on each of their faces, how they are holding their hands and feet, they are so unique.  i can still remember them being in those positions while they were growing in my belly.  so bittersweet, i don't think a mom ever forgets.  they will always be my little babies

bouncing belly giggles

today luke brought home another special book from the library, this one the circulatory system.  if he does not become some type of medical professional, i will be amazed.  although he insists that he will be a rocket scientist or a train conductor, he continues to bring home a book on some body part every chance he gets.  we have learned all about the skin, the bones, the brain, and now on to circulatory... although he surprised me last week with a book on electricity.

tonight when we were settled in his bed and reading his new book, baby girl started jumping around in my belly.  luke saw my belly bouncing around and fell into the giggles.  he had so much fun, touching my belly trying to get her to move and wiggle again.  he jumped under his blanket and showed me how he saw her moving.  pure joy, its been awhile since i have seen him laugh so hard.  he had my belly hurting we were having so much fun!
