At this moment

I am sitting in the waiting area at the hospital trying to pass the time until my baby girl is back in my arms. We are here for another round of MRIs and PET scans...

My intension was to ask for your prayers and support, however, at this moment another family needs all the support they can get.  This beautiful mama's children shared classrooms with my boys last year. I only knew her when she had undergone multiple surgeries meant to save her life. She sought me out when she heard about lily.  Her speech had been badly effected by her tumor, but she understood everything.  I will always remember her kind hug and kiss on my cheek. Katy was so sweet and supportive to lily. They had a special bond and I wish her peace and love to her family.

i recently discovered the best thing ever for my little boys.  if you have a lowe's store by you, its the build and grow program.  every other weekend you can bring them in to build a little something.  this was landons helicopter or airplane with moving wings.  so cute and completely free!   he even got a working apron with patches for each activity he completes.

so much fun.  they have a blast. we go, pick out a project, and hammer away.  perfect for a hot weekend morning or afternoon.

first day of school

they were all up, bright eyed and bushy tailed by 5:30 am.  i am not sure if it was excitement for their first day or excitement for the small piece of chocolate cake i promised them if they were well behaved in the morning.  of course the cake was if they finished their breakfast, and it was a healthy gluten free cake made using almond butter. but it was cake nonetheless and cake talks.

they each chose their own outfit.  and their personalities shined.  at the school they had a boo hoo/ woo hoo breakfast.  i must admit i was in the woo hoo group.  other things put tears in my eyes, but not bringing them to school.  every mama needs a moment to herself, right?

and the report at pick up was thumbs up for all.  they liked their teachers, the new rooms. landon did not cry.  logan has a pet bird in his room.  luke said he made a few new friends and that he got to run around the school two times (PE day??).   anyway, time for me to get things ready for tomorrows morning marathon.

there sitting quietly on his desk i found his list of chores... i guess maybe he did not like the list i had put together.

1. make bed
2.get dressed
3.brush teeth
4.pick up toys
5.help with dishes
6.take out recycling
7.pick apples off the tree
8. ?
9.put clothes in laundry basket
10.do homework
11.water garden
12.make sure landon does not take toys away from lily
13.give toy back to lily
14.get $1 and $5 for all chores.
