and for some reason lily looks so grown up to me. no longer a baby, but a little girl. she is as tomboy as can be, then sits down, crosses her legs, and shrugs her shoulders like a little lady.

go
clearly this race was not entirely fair. i think landon had the same feeling. they all took off at the count of three, then landon curved around and took a short cut through the playground. oh, and i love his necklace. he made it in his noon cats class. can't get him to take it off.

miss tree mama
isn't she gorgeous? sitting on her little nest in my apple tree. i came upon her with luke. actually luke was the one who pointed her out. i think she has spent several springs with us trying to nest. poor little mama. every year we have a nest with eggs in this tree, then along comes mother nature with dust storms and strong afternoon winds that send their woven nests into pieces on the ground. hopefully not this year. i will do my best to guard her and check on her everyday. can't wait to hear some chirping babies in that tree.
logan heard me discussing the winds and wondered why miss tree mama had not used one of our tree houses. landon quickly pointed out his bird house hanging on a branch next to her in the tree. well, boys, i dont think she can fit with all her eggs. i may have spoke too soon. i could see the wheels in their heads turning. look for much larger bird houses in the future. ha, they will want to build them as big as the house. adorable.

spring concert
enjoyed every minute. watching them with their friends. watching them perform.
logan told me ahead of time that i would especially like the last song... it was 'mama your my favorite gal'... gush. he has my heart with that one.
luke did not want to go. did not want to sing. did not want to dress as a dog. once we arrived a smile swept over his face. he realized his friends were all dressed up like dogs too. he was a bit silly, but his lips were moving and he sang.

field tripping
each of our days have been filled. leaving the house early in the morning and returning for dinner, baths and bed.
i love that i have had the opportunity to go with each of them on a field trip.

silent playtime
as a mama, you know the feeling. the moment of absolute silence. no one is down for a nap. surely they must be getting into some kind of trouble.
well, i sneaked in on both of them and this is what i found. i separate rooms, of course. both safe. one playing a game. the other reading a book to her dolly. simply delightful.

hard at work and play
my own crafts set aside on hold for the moment. the quilt i started while pregnant with lily still sits waiting to be completed. and sit it will stay, happy for me to return some day.
however, i have been crafting with the kids. from ant habitats, to volcanos, and science fair projects, i have kept myself creative and busy. love seeing life from their perspective.
