baseball

it was a fun season.

luke could have done baseball, he did not like the 't' all that much, but it was great having them on the same team.

the coach told me that if he could give an award for most improved it would be logan.

every time we went to practice landon would run upstairs to put on his cubs uniform. so cute, he can't wait to play just like his brothers.

first steps

her mothers day present to me... her first soft steps...  tears in my eyes, my last baby is taking steps...

mama's day

i was blessed with many gifts from my littles.

logan came home from school on thursday, smiled and gave me a big present.  a handmade yellow basket filled with goodies... from a bracelet he designed to coupons i can't wait to use.  he also made some soap with his school friends. such a creative one he is.

although, there is a story behind this bracelet.   i earned it and then had it taken away.  i did not allow logan to do his experiment before bed since it included paints, toothpaste, water, and anything else he could find.  i told him it was time for bed and the bracelet was torn from my wrist.  he told me he was going to throw it away.  i quietly watched as he hid it behind the bookcase.  every day i asked for it back... finally sunday afternoon, before dinner, i got it back. with a kiss.

luke came home on friday and told me not to go through his backpack.  as soon as i pulled into the garage he was upstairs with his bag.  in fact, he had it unpacked before i made it through the door.

sure enough on sunday morning, he checked the calendar and came prancing down the stairs with his hands behind his back all big grin and giggles.  i am delighted that my little boy was so excited to share with his mama.  i can't wait to find the perfect frame.

late afternoon sun

our most recent afternoon photo session with miss bliss.  all four of my babies, all together. i love each of their personalities.  in all their uniqueness.

looking at these, i can tell such a difference in lily.  she looks so much better now... her eyes are open, no drooping. she has more of an appetite. we recently started acupuncture.  it has done amazing things for her.

art

she follows her brothers to their favorite place.  they are full of creations.  logan can be there all day and will still tell me that he needs more time to create when i pull him away to put him in bed.

she loves to be at the art table with them.  she is starting to color, luke has been helping her, making sure she does not eat the crayons.

the mr.

after our 'perfect' day with the boats, i got a phone call that my husband had fallen off of a bicycle he was test riding.  at first i thought it was a joke... he was getting a haircut with luke... or wait... seriously?  so, i woke the others from their naps and we were off.  luke was waiting with the firemen at the scene.  in the firetruck, all smiles having fun, not traumatized.  i don't think he realized what had happened. he was just happy to be hanging with real firemen.

apparently andrew was testing a mountain bike and fell off injuring his leg.  they had already taken him to the er by the time i arrived.  luke told me that daddy was 'trying to do a flip'.  i think daddy may have unintentionally done a flip.

anyhow, after the er visit, surgery, and a night in the hospital andrew is back home and settling in the best he can.  unfortunately the bike fall resulted in a broken leg and shattered ankle.  yes, a nasty fall it was.  he will be in the cast for another 6 weeks.  it is painful and awful, but i feel blessed that it was only his leg... not a full body cast, traction devices or much, much worse.

the boys are loving the cast.  landon tells everyone that his daddy is the best at hopping on one leg.  lily keeps stealing his walker.  i think she is enjoying this most of all.  her eyes gleam every time she sees the walker. possibly wondering why we didn't get a pink one in her size. i have added a granny basket to the front of the walker, anything to make life a bit easier, right?

andrew is in good spirits.  upon returning home he received a set of training wheels from a friend.  he laughed, but they will be going on his next bike.  oh yes they will.
