the bug

little lil has had the stomach flu for the past few days.  i literally wake her every few hours to nurse and suck on a pedialyte popsicle. then back to bed she goes.  little angel.

i could not resist snapping a few sleeping pictures of her.

boosterthon

this event was hands down the best school fundraiser i have been to yet.  the organizers were very organized (you know that is not always the case), positive, and kept the kids excited.  they even had me ready to run.  goosebumps when they started with the national anthem and then pumped up the music.

it was a few week ordeal. everyday they came home from school talking about leadership, character, respect, and so much more. even landon has been singing 'highway usa, highway usa' and talking about amilia earhart. adorable.  so much fun and we ran our way to raising money for some much needed fitness equipment.

the only downside was that i only had my phone camera, which is ancient. so bear with me on the fuzzy, blurred images.

spring

spring is one of my favorite months in the desert. at first glance it seems barren and void of much life.  lots of brown.  not much grass.  the majority of the houses are brown to fit in to the landscape.  lots of brick walls.  however, there is a certain peace here that i have not encountered anywhere else.

life in the desert is hidden.  you have to stop, sit still, maybe even close your eyes to hear and see it come to life.  its buzzing with life.  everywhere.  especially in spring.  beautiful blossoms everywhere.  all this beauty was on my evening walk to the park.

the little miss

little miss lil went in for her 3 month scans yesterday.
she has not had any chemo since her january 28th scan.
so this was a big one, to see what the tumor would do post chemo.
and her results are good!  no growth, no activity.  yippie!
tears of absolute joy!
soon we will be going in to take out her chemo port.
and then we are done until her next 3 month scan.
so excited:)
