Beautiful day

Beautiful day on the beach with fun times swimming at the dunes and building sand castles. I am loving taking the boys to the dunes. It makes me feel like I am little again. building drizzle castles, climbing up the hot, hot sand and running down to feel the cool water on my skin. The hum of the boats. Sounds of splashing and laughter.

After baths, Logan and Landon fell asleep together on the couch. Lily settled in for her nap, and Luke and I took a walk. I love it when I have the rare opportunity to spend one on one time with them. Especially Luke. They grow up so fast. I know in several weeks when he is in school once again, I will miss him dearly.

Yummy times for dinner at the annual fish boil. I could eat this dinner every night, it's that good! Fresh fish boiled with onions,potatos, coleslaw, topped off with cherry pie and ice cream. I know, I have never liked coleslaw, usuallythink it's gross, but this stuff was so yummy I had seconds. Landon ended up with an ice cream head... Cutie pie, he tends to follow his brothers advise and poured it over his head. Lots of belly laughs followed.

The labyrinth was absolutely amazing this year, what more can I say.
Then a trip down to the channel. Hard to believe wevhave been here a week already and are just now making it down to this treasured spot. Prefect place for the boys, but not so great for baby girl. The sunset so colorful. Landon naked,requesting '2 more minutes mommy' as he ran through shallow streams. Luke and Logan being chased by Travis. Can I stop time?

Needless to say, I am exhausted. Bring on tomorrow. Good night.

Here comes the sun

Good times were had today...so much fun on the beach. It's hard to believe that an entire week has flown by. Today was all about finding another toad.  I wish our vacation would slow down.

Pentwater day

It was another rainy one. Time for pentwater. And there are some new shops! The cutest, little magical children's store. We read a few stories, dressed up, played with puppets. I think we will be heading back on the next rainy day.

The boys did not catch the fish but were staring in amazement at them.

Cloudy days

Last night it got so cold I had to get up close all the windows, get out blankets, cover everyone up. Love it! We are in our winter clothes. The only question now is, what to do on a rainy day at silver lake.

Sounds like a good day to check out the much anticipated cars movie. Luke and Logan loved it, Landon was happy to run around and see everything else the theatre had to offer. Lucky for him this theatre had a carosel and a chuck e cheese style game area. He was in heaven.

Since the rain kept pouring down we went to a drive up hotdog joint. Then , of course, we decided it would be easier to get out eat inside. Logan wanted a cheeseburger, then when it came he was upset that his had meat on it. "I said I wanted only cheese". Ooppsie. The grilled cheese did not take too long.

After the movie it was time for a hot chocolate treat, and now one little boy is talking about an owie in his ear. Next stop urgent care? At least we are already here and it's a rainy day.

Yep, it's an ear infection... Ready to head home to our cozy cabin and call it a day. Aaahhhh, namaste
