best news ever

finally. we got the word. it has been an entire year. in fact a bit over a year....and...lily is done with her chemo.  i get excited just typing those words.  yes, she is done with her chemo treatment.  little girl gets to go on bike rides to the park instead of the hospital. blessed indeed.

i felt it coming since her last scans were good (no growth/ not metabolically active) but hearing those words come out of the doctors mouth sent goosebumps up and down my spine.  a huge weight off my shoulders, a weight i did not even know was there.

we will go back for more scans in 3 months but until then we are free at last.
